テーブルウェア
東京ドームのテーブルウェア展に行ってきた。クラシック音楽のミニコンサートもあるからどうかと妻に誘われたのだが、過去の自分であったら興味がないので行かなかっただろう。
お皿は特に買うつもりもなく見に行ったが、日本の焼き物に魅せられた。自分の知らない焼き物がたくさんあった。関心を持ったことがないのだから当然なのだが、種類の豊富さに驚いた。
長崎の波佐見焼は、全く知らなかった。色鮮やかな仕上がりのコップとお皿が気になった。食事の盛り付け用のお皿と、お客さまに出すお菓子用の小皿を買った。
原木を薄くして重ねて貼り付けた木工のお皿も買った。
我が家の食卓も少し豊かになった気がする。

Tableware
We went to the tableware exhibition in Tokyo Dome. My wife invited me to go there because there was a classical music mini-concert, but I wouldn’t accept her offer if I was what I used to be.
Although I went to see dishes in order not to buy some, I was impressed by Japanese ceramics. There were so many unknown ones. I was very surprised at their variety. It was a matter of course because I didn’t have any interest in them so far.
I didn’t know Hasami ware were made in Nagasaki prefecture at all. I was moved by the very vivid-colored cups and dishes. We bought the dish for dinner and the small dishes for snacks served to guests.
