The first shrine visit
I went to Yashu-yamabe, Tochiki prefecture to pay a visit to Kotohira-shrine. It took about over 2 hours from my house.
Because I met a shrine maiden on December 30th, 2021 and she told me that I should visit Kotohira-shrine for the first shrine visit of 2022. She explained that there was only one shrine in Japan to be able to give me the tremendous power for 2022.
I believed in her and visited it. That shrine was surprisingly small. No one paid a visit there during my staying there. I stated new year resolutions and prayed for my daughter who is going to take a college exam this year in front of the shrine for a while.
Later, I met that shrine maiden and asked her why Kotohira-shrine was the only one to give me tremendous power. She answered that the best shrine of that year was announced every year to whom it may concern. So it was not only for me but for everybody.
It was actually curious, but I didn’t ask her more details. I thought that it was enough if I would get power this year. Because I am not a professional of Shinto.
